The screening process for students entering grades k-8 includes taking the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, or OLSAT8. This assessment measures cognitive abilities that relate to a student’s academic success in school.
Assessments take approximately 75 minutes to complete and will be done in 90 minute test blocks to ensure we have enough time to administer it properly.
Students in kindergarten, first, and second grades will take a test in groups as large as 3 students per teacher. Their tests will be completed with pencil and paper.
Students in grades three through eight will complete the online version of the tests in groups as large as 14 students with two teachers and one technical professional.

Screening dates for students applying for Kindergarten – 2nd grades for 2020-2021 are: Saturday, February 8, 2020 and Saturday, February 22, 2020. Start times are available at 8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Students must sign in at the start time in the dining hall.
Screening for students applying for Grades 3 – 8 for 2020-2021 is: Saturday, February 22, 2020. Start times are available at 8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Students must sign in at their start time in the dining hall.
