A strategic plan for Bethany School was adopted in 2014. A big piece of that plan was improving the classrooms and buildings.
The last two years have been spent working with Emersion Design (Cincinnati) to determine the building needs for a Bethany School that can continue to thrive for generations to come. Most of us remember that the classrooms were a little small, the science lab a bit murky, and the kitchen could stand to have some working appliances. The new plan addresses all these needs and more. The artist’s renderings show a new proposed Grades 3-8 building (below) and a new K-2 building (above).
Although the buildings are new, don’t worry. We’re not about to lose the campus setting or the unique architecture that has been part of Bethany for over 100 years.
You’ll be hearing more about the master site plan soon. Our volunteers are out actively sharing the story and would love the chance to visit with you about it. Email Sharon Shumard-Snavely firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to have a visit.
