Discipline Policy – Grades 3-8

Discipline Policy – Grades 3 – 8

Bethany School has a strong commitment to the character education of its students.  The Character Pillars and Upper School Honor Pledge reflect our mission of helping students develop strong moral compasses in the midst of an academically challenging and spiritually nourishing environment.  Bethany has a commitment to creating a culture that exemplifies the six pillars of good character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

The plan is geared towards behavioral issues only.  The points increase as the severity of the violation increases.  They range from one to twenty points.  If something deemed so grievous should happen, it could result in immediate administrative involvement and parental contact.

Much thought has been put into creating a discipline system that accurately reflects Bethany values and clearly documents a student’s actions that do not meet Bethany’s commitment to good character.   The card is designed to be simple and easy to follow.
