Screening for New Students

For kindergarten, we use a readiness assessment that is normed and standardized to incoming kindergartners in regards to what skills they will need entering kindergarten and what will be taught in the classroom if admitted.  The questions are chosen by our kindergarten curriculum team and answers are normed to benchmarks nationwide.

For students entering grades 1 – 8, we use the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT8). It measures cognitive abilities that relate to a student’s academic success in school.

Assessments take approximately  75 minutes to complete and will be done in  90 minute test blocks to ensure we have enough time to administer it properly.
