Bethany students in the seventh and eighth grades enjoy special area elective classes called “Quest Classes” which are offered each trimester.  Every seventh and eighth grader chooses an elective class which meets several times each week and changes by trimester, giving students the opportunity to participate in different classes over the course of the year.  Each student chooses at least one physical fitness related, one art related, and one music related class each year ensuring that all students have a well-rounded educational experience that meets state requirements.

Classes are comprised of both seventh and eighth graders and carry academic weight.  Instructors come from the Bethany faculty, outside professionals, and parents.  Our goal is to offer our Upper School students the opportunity to experience and investigate topics which are appealing to them, yet not typically offered in a school setting, while they get to know each other better in these multi-level classes.

Some past offerings have included: Beginner Violin, Bridge, Cake Decorating, Cup Stacking, Classical Guitar, Creative Dramatics, Decorative Painting, Drawing, Flying Things, Introduction to German, Introduction to Japanese, Jewelry Making, Percussion, Presidential Fitness, Robotics, Scrapbooking, Sights and Sounds of the Ukraine, Tour of India, Tour of Thailand, Yoga, Zumba, and many, many more…….

Registration Process

A list of offerings is given to students prior to the start of the school year.  They must select their top choices and return the form to Ms. Wallen.

Registration Deadline

Some classes are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
