Upper School

Sixth to Eighth Grade

As they enter into their final years at Bethany School, our upper school students are encouraged and inspired to broaden their academic experience and explore their individuality through a range of electives and leadership opportunities.

Sixth Grade

As upper school students, sixth-graders are introduced to even more ways to get involved, both at school and in their communities. From service-minded electives to leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to explore their interests and take on more responsibility in and out of the classroom.

Seventh Grade

As the academic curriculum increases in depth and rigor, students are challenged to think more critically and collaborate with their peers. A variety of electives and extracurriculars, such as MathCounts, Mock Trial, and Power of the Pen, encourage them to explore their talents and interests, and help them become more independent and self-assured.

Eighth Grade

As students prepare for the social and academic changes high school will bring, they continue developing the self-confidence, independence, and leadership skills that will help them succeed beyond Bethany School.

Learning Through Doing

Field trips are an important part of the academic experience at Bethany School. Our upper school students participate in a variety of educational field trips and outreach programs every year to connect what they’re learning in the classroom to real-world, hands-on experiences.
