Admissions Deadlines

Applications are now being accepted for the 2027-2028 school year.

March 15, 2027 — Priority Deadline

Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Application

April 15, 2027 — Admissions Decisions

Families who submit their application by March 15 and complete all required admissions steps will receive an admissions decision no later than April 15.

Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to availability.

Students interested in Kindergarten must be 5 years old prior to September 1st of the year they enter Kindergarten.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, families must complete the following:

Online Application: Submit Bethany School’s admissions application.
Two Recommendations: Provide contact information for two recommenders (typically a teacher and administrator or two teachers). Recommendation forms are automatically sent to the individuals listed once the application is submitted.
Academic Records: Provide grades from the previous school year. Bethany will follow up with your child’s current school to request official records.
NWEA MAP Testing: Students must submit current-year MAP test scores or complete testing during their shadow visit if they have not already taken the assessment.
Student Shadow Visit: Students participate in a school shadow day to experience life at Bethany. Kindergarten applicants participate in a Kindergarten Readiness Day.

Admissions Decisions

Once all required materials, testing, and student visits are completed, our Admissions Team will review your child’s application and determine an admissions decision.

Families will be notified of their decision by email.

Visit

There are several ways to experience what Bethany School has to offer. You can arrange a private tour or attend our next open house.

Prospective families may meet with an administrator and or other members of the Admissions Committee to assess whether Bethany School is the right fit. Once you have applied, and submitted all required documents including two letters of recommendation, our Admissions Department will contact you to schedule a shadow day and family conversation.

Apply

Parents will be asked to provide the names and email addresses of two individuals who know your child in an academic setting (teachers/administrators) and can provide recommendations. In addition, please submit any supporting documents such as academic records, learning or behavioral plans, or other relevant information.

Shadow Visit

Shadow Days give prospective students the opportunity to experience what daily life at Bethany School is like by attending classes and other campus activities alongside a current student. Also. Each prospective student will complete their required assessment. Once you have applied and submitted the application fee, our Admissions Department will contact you to schedule a Shadow Day.

For students entering Kindergarten, we use a standardized readiness assessment prepared by our Kindergarten teaching staff (Kdg Readiness Activities). For students entering 1st to 8th grades, we use STAR Reading and Math assessments to measure academic achievement and progress. Assessments take 75 minutes to complete. Once you have applied and submitted the application fee, our Admissions Department will contact you to schedule an assessment.

Decision

Once the admissions process has been completed, our Admissions Committee will contact you with a decision via email. New student contracts are due back to Bethany School within two weeks of issue.
