Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Society of the Transfiguration, Bethany School will be constructing a brand new playground for our students, to open for use during the 2026-2027 school year! Construction will begin in May of 2026 and is scheduled for completion in August.

Please note the following changes for the carline at Oak Road (3rd to 8th Grades):
- Traffic flow may be slower than usual, especially during peak drop-off and pick-up times.
- Certain areas near the playground will be restricted due to construction activity.
- Please follow all posted signs, cones, and staff directions at all times.
- For everyone’s safety, do not exit your vehicle in the carline unless directed by staff.
- Be especially mindful of construction vehicles and workers entering or exiting the campus.
- Allow a few extra minutes for arrival and dismissal during this period.
As we begin improvements to our playground, the safety of our students, staff, and visitors remains our highest priority.
Please note the following important safety guidelines during the construction period:
- The playground construction area will be clearly marked and secured. Students and visitors must stay outside all fenced or designated construction zones at all times.
- No students are permitted in the construction area before, during, or after school hours.
- Staff will provide increased supervision during recess and transitions to ensure all students remain in safe, approved areas.
- Construction equipment and materials will be present on campus that should never be touched or approached.
- We ask families to reinforce these expectations at home to help ensure everyone’s safety.

2. When will construction begin and how long will it last?
Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 19 and will continue until the end of July. We will share updates if timelines change.
3. Will students have access to the playground during construction?
No. The construction area will be fully closed and secured. Students will use alternate recess areas during this time.
4. How will student safety be ensured?
- Construction zones will be fenced and clearly marked
- Students will be kept away from all work areas
- Staff will provide increased supervision
- Contractors will follow all required safety protocols
5. How will this affect the carline (drop-off and pick-up)?
- Expect slower traffic flow
- Some areas may be restricted or rerouted
- Staff will be present to direct traffic
6. Are there changes to drop-off or pick-up locations?
There may be minor adjustments depending on construction activity. Please follow signage and staff directions each day.
7. Can parents park and walk students in?
Only in designated areas. Please avoid parking near construction zones for safety reasons.
8. Will construction vehicles be on campus during school hours?
Yes, at times. Please drive slowly and remain alert for construction traffic and workers.
