As we approach the final months of the school year, we are excited to celebrate our 8th grade students as they prepare to graduate from Bethany School and begin their high school journey.
Below is an overview of key events and milestones for the remainder of the year.

Bluehawk Walk

A school-wide fundraising event supporting the Andrew Dawson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Students will rotate through engaging stations focused on wellness, service,
creativity, and physical activity.
Washington, D.C. Trip
May 5–9
Field Day
Tuesday, May 12 | 8:15 AM | Bethany Campus
A fun-filled day of outdoor activities and games. 8th graders will help lead stations and should wear athletic attire.
All School Chapel Service
Thursday, May 14 | 9:45 AM | BAC
A special chapel marking the transition of acolyte leadership and the presentation of Bibles to 8th graders.
Families are welcome to attend. For this special event, parents that will only be attending Chapel need not check in at office. Please park in Oak Road Parking Lot and proceed directly to the BAC.
Honors Assembly (8th Grade)
Friday, May 15 | 1:15 PM | BAC
A celebration of academic achievements, student speeches, and the presentation of awards and alumni pins.
7th vs. 8th Grade Kickball Game
Monday, May 18 | 1:45 PM | Green Space near Convent
A beloved Bethany tradition featuring friendly competition and themed costumes.
7th and 8th Grade Families are welcome to attend. For this special event, parents that will only be attending the game need not check in at office. Please park in Oak Road Parking Lot only as Hedgerow Road needs to remain clear and proceed directly to the game field.
Silver Tea (Invitation Only)

An evening honoring students who achieved First Honors all three trimesters.
Graduation Week
Graduation Rehearsal and Last Day of School
Wednesday, May 20
Students will rehearse at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church (transportation provided).
8th Grade Celebration Lunch & “Bethany Awfuls”
Wednesday, May 20 | 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Dining Hall
A special lunch followed by ice cream sundaes to celebrate the class.
Early dismissal at 1:30 PM.
Graduation Ceremony
Wednesday, May 20 | 7:00 PM
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church

A reception will follow the ceremony.
Post-Graduation
Final Records
Final transcripts will be sent in mid-to-late June after report cards are finalized.
Accounts must be current for records to be released.
School Communications
Families will continue receiving school communications through June.
