Karen began her career as an RN at University Hospital until entering law school in 1987. She has been a practicing attorney since 1990 practicing in the areas of litigation, appellate and general practice, public benefits and elder law. She is currently a staff attorney for Pro Seniors. She has worked for Pro Seniors for over 30 years – working part time on Pro Seniors legal helpline until becoming a staff attorney in 2019.
Karen and her husband chose Bethany School for their 3 children because of the school’s focus on academic excellence, small class size, and support of students’ diverse learning needs. Bethany School’s commitment to cultural diversity and character development was also very important and played a vital role in enriching their children’s educational experience.
Karen joined the Board of Trustees at Bethany School in 2025.
