The Bluehawk Walk

Andrew Dawson was a beloved student at Bethany School and the son of one of our former long-term administrators. Bethany was truly his home away from home, and he found joy in his time here. Unfortunately, Andrew passed away far too soon, but in his memory, the Dawson family launched a fund that will change lives for generations to come-the Andrew Dawson Memorial Fund.
With the Andrew Dawson Financial Aid Fund, we can offer resources to families who might not otherwise be able to afford a Bethany School education. We believe that every child deserves an education that inspires them, challenges them, and helps them grow into the best version of themselves.
Every year, the entire Bethany School community – past and present – comes together for a Spring event to raise funds and awareness for the Andrew Dawson Financial Aid Fund. We are excited to renew this tradition with The Bluehawk Walk, scheduled for Friday, May 1st.
We need our students’ help!
We have an ambitious goal of raising $40,000 this year to go directly to student financial aid. We want to challenge each student to raise at least $250!
Through the help and support of their friends and family, we are asking our students to seek out sponsorships for their participation in this event, using an online system called MyBooster. For those who participated in The Glow Run last year, this is the same online platform.

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, friends-anyone who would want to see your child be successful in his or her fundraising goals!
Timeline
Our fundraising website is live now! Students can seek support through Sunday, April 26th to take advantage of possible spring break visits with friends and relatives.

Prizes!
We want to reward our students for all of their hard work with the following prizes:
Grand Prize One: Head of School for a Day/Assistant Head for Academic Affairs for a Day!
The top fundraising student(s)* will get to choose to shadow Dr. Harris or Dr. Parker for a day, make announcements over the PA, maybe plan a fun lunch menu item with Miss Patti, visit classrooms, give out treats or maybe help teach a class!
*In the event of a tie, multiple students will get to participate.
Grand Prize Two: Head of School for a Day/Assistant Head for Academic Affairs for a Day!
The second highest fundraising student(s)* will get to shadow either Dr. Harris or Dr. Parker(depending on who the top seller selects) for a day, make announcements over the PA, maybe plan a fun lunch menu item with Miss Patti, visit classrooms, give out treats or maybe help teach a class!
*In the event of a tie, multiple students will get to participate.
Grand Prize Three: Chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2!
Every student who raises at least $250 will receive one entry into a grand drawing for a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, to be held at the end of The Bluehawk Walk. One entry per student max.
This includes the console, along with Mario Kart World game.
The winning student will have to have a parent or guardian pick up the prize for them at the end of the school day on Friday, May 1st.
Out of Uniform Prize:
Every student who raises at least $250 will get to dress out of uniform for the entire last week of school: Monday, May 18th to Thursday, May 21st.
Raffle Basket Prizes
For every $25 a student raises, they will receive a ticket to enter into drawings for themed raffle baskets on the day of the walk.
This includes the chance to win FC Cincinnati tickets in a suite, entertainment venue cards, gift cards, Lilo and Stitch items, Pokémon items, Bluey items, and more!
New baskets and prizes will drop over the course of the fundraising drive to keep excitement going!
There is no limit to the number of tickets a student can earn!
One basket win per student.
T-shirt Prize
Every student who goes online to create a MyBooster account and raises at least $5 will receive a free Bluehawk Walk t-shirt to wear the day of the event. This shirt will be official spirit wear for Fridays etc. following the event.
To allow enough production time, students must complete this by Sunday, April 19th.
